How to freeze yeast?

  • divide the yeast into smaller pieces – weighing about 3-5dag,
  • It is best to keep the yeast in a paper wrapper,
  • arrange the prepared cubes in the freezer, so that each of them is arranged freely and does not touch anything,
  • After an hour or so, pour all the small portions into one bag or box,
  • we put in the freezer – yeast can be stored this way for up to 6 months.

When defrosting the product, there are a few important things to remember. Take the yeast out of the freezer the day before so that it can thaw easily. At this time you can put them in the freezer. In case you need the product at the moment you can defrost it by putting it into hot water or milk. It is also worth remembering that thawed yeast should not be preserved under the influence of cold again.
